When chic bites the dust: Oscar dela Renta dies at 82

Legendary fashion designer, Oscar dela Renta, makes his final fashion bow at 82 years old.

De la Renta was trained by Cristóbal Balenciaga and Antonio del Castillo, he gained worldwide attention in the 1960s as one of the couturiers to dress Jacqueline Kennedy.

He dresses some of the world’s most glamorous royalties, A-list celebrities, countless First Ladies and society women.

The prolific designer was previously married in 1967 to Françoise de Langlade, an editor-in-chief of French Vogue who once worked for the fashion house of Elsa Schiaparelli. They were married until her death in 1983.

In 1989, the fashion great married American philanthropist and socialite, Annette dela Renta (nee’ Engelhard).

Just recently, Peter Copping, was named as the new creative director of the fashion house.

The designer was survived by his wife, Annette dela Renta and son Moises dela Renta.

Fashion Fantasy: Supermodel Natalia Vodianova offers rare glimpse of Paris Opera House.

The Russian “supernova” Natalia Vodianova graces the November 2014 issue of US Vogue. The fashion bible celebrates choreographer Benjamin Millepied’s first season as director of the Paris Opera Ballet.

The 37-year-old French dancer, who is married to Oscar-winner Natalie Portman, trained at the School of American Ballet in New York, before joining the corps de ballet of New York City Ballet in 1995.

The supermodel is wearing haute couture from Oscar dela Renta, Chanel, Carolina Herrera and Dolce and Gabbana.
