Jennifer Lawrence first beauty campaign for Dior; Rihanna covers Vogue Met Gala supplement

Jennifer Lawrence stars for Dior Addict beauty campaign

Jennifer Lawrence is making Hollywood’s big bosses sick after she successfully negotiated a $20 million salary per film (first for her upcoming movie with Chris Pratt, Passengers), joining an exclusive club of super A-list actors and actresses who commanded a salary upward of $15-$25 million. Thanks to leaked emails from Sony, and partly because Charlize Theron (Lawrence and Theron are both Dior ambassadors) engineered a $10m rise to put her on par with co-star Chris Hemsworth for the Snow White prequel.

Lawrence star will shine even more brighter. The ‘Hunger Games’ star gets her closeup as she was named the new face of Dior Addict makeup line, extending her contract for another 3 years and a reported $15 million salary for the French luxury brand.

Dior announced on Tuesday that in addition to appearing in campaigns for the French house ready to wear line, Be Dior and Miss Dior handbags, Lawrence will also front the Dior Addict makeup line. As part of her new contract, she will appear in print ads and television commercials.

And talking about Rihanna’s majestic Guo Pei gown at this year’s Met Gala, those internet trolls who made thousands of memes on the superstar’s dress will soon die in their Casual Corner outfit!

Vogue give credit whom credit is due. Sorry, Kim Kardashain, thanking Vogue on your Instagram for landing the best-dressed doesn’t count.

Rihanna owned the night and landed Vogue’s special edition Met Gala issue in that stunning yellow-brocade cape gown!

Fifty Shades of Grey’s naked ambition for W Magazine

Ready for Mr Grey?

Fifty Shades of Grey, the worldwide phenomenon (the book sold over 100 million copies!!!) by E.L James, and its screen adaptation debuted at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival. The film was received with mix to negative reviews with some critics calling it “a bore” with “little sex” on it. But its opening weekend debut starting at the tick of Valentine’s Day is poised to become one of the biggest (if not, the biggest) opening weekend of an R-RATED flick. According to Fandango, its ticket sales already surpassed the record hailed by “Sex and the City”. Well, more girls and gays (and MEN!!) are already lining up to see the erotic film of the year. BDSM anyone????

W Magazine featured its lead stars, Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, in their sexiest for the magazine spread in collaboration with the film’s director, Sam Taylor-Johnson.

Here’s looking at you, kid! Steamy photos below!

The battle for the Oscar glory is blazing like a wildfire. And to all the Hollywood A-listers who aimed for the highest honor in film and television, the Screen Actors Guild Awards is just a primer. But do not underestimate the power of SAG, as nominations were selected by a panel of 2,100 randomly selected  members for films and another 2,100 members for the TV nominations.

“The SAG nominations are closely watched by awards trackers since actors represent about 20% of the voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences” -according to Variety. And almost “80% of the winners at SAG Awards with nods on the individual acting category have gone on to win the Oscars, past winners includes  Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto for “Dallas Buyers Club,” Cate Blanchett for “Blue Jasmine” and Lupita Nyong’o for “12 Years a Slave”. All four took home the Oscar statuette.

Ansel Elgort and Eva Longoria made the announcements Wednesday morning at the Pacific Design Center.

The winners will be announced in ceremonies at the Shrine Auditorium on Jan. 25 following voting by the 165,000 members of SAG-AFTRA. The telecast will be live on TNT and TBS.

“Blood Ransom” vampire flick is a MAJOR FLOP!

Critics have spoken! And it seems like the camp of Philippine actress, Anne Curtis, wanted to make it as big as the “TWILIGHT” movie. HAHAHA!

From what i’ve heard and judging by the many forwarded emails containing screenshots of trending topics on Twitter (unfortunately, i don’t have a twitter account), wasted showbiz news on TV Patrol (which, frankly, Gretchen Fullido is NEWS herself because of her many fashion faux pas, re the skimpy outfits too ill-fitting to watch!) and the endless raconteur posting so many wasted articles on blogs dedicated or is PRO-Anne Curtis. Sadly, i lost counts and to this day and age, it was daunting and rather boring! Only Fashionpulis is deemed worthy of all the gossips!

I have no intention to demean the effort of Ms. Curtis in fulfilling her Hollywood dreams.

You be the judge, the critics have spoken. Let’s wait for the box-office numbers.

And by the way, is it even worthy of ROTTENTOMATOES rating? Heck, Indiewire didn’t even mention it, and God forbid, don’t let the movie get near Roger Ebert’s trash bin.

At least, some reviewers give it a shot. For now.

L.A TIMES Martin Tsai : ‘Blood Ransom’ vampire tale is a bit anemic”. Nuff’ said.

NYT Andrew Webster not so sure:  “Ms. Curtis, a Filipino-Australian actress making her American film debut, suffers nobly, with full lips and heavy eyelashes, parading in leather and occasionally acquiring fangs, a veiny complexion and flaring red eyes. She is not without charisma, but this is not her proper vehicle. It would be interesting to see her in a role of more down-to-earth dimensions.”

There’s the effort, girlfriend.

While Village Voice’s Rob Staeger bothered to say these words:  “Fewer cops and more full-tilt vampire batshittery might not have resulted in a more coherent movie, necessarily, but almost certainly would’ve made for a more captivating one.”

Lorde to “curate” The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack

Last July (yeah, old news!) , Lorde (the uber-cool songstress from Middle Earth!)  tweeted to her “royal wannabees” that she will be contributing to The Hunger Games soundtrack. You think it is just one song she will contribute but NO! she will curate the whole soundtrack album and will use her Royal awesomeness to personally hand-pick the artists for the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 and provide the lead single for the album, which will be released this fall.

And the lead single, YELLOW FLICKER BEAT,debuted on her Vevo for everyone to enjoy. It is haunting, magnetic and full of angst!

Unfortunately to Kanye West fans out there, he will be left out, and NO, the whole Kardashian clan aren’t going to be in the movie. HAHAHA!!!!
