“Since 2002, Chanel’s annual Métiers d’Art collection celebrates craftsmanship while putting the spotlight on cities which are linked to the House’s history. Following on from Bombay, Edinburgh and Dallas, this year Karl Lagerfeld’s inspiration turns to Salzburg, Austria.

This city, with its deep appreciation for history and tradition, naturally lends itself Chanel’s Métiers d’Art collection which brings to the fore the specialist atelier’s unique expertise such as costume jeweller Desrues, feather dresser Lemarié, embroiderers Maison Lesage and Atelier Montex, shoemaker Massaro, milliner Michel and cashmere producer Barrie.

The collection will be presented at the 18th century Schloss Leopoldskron, one of the most notable rococo palaces in Austria. This castle, banked on the shores of Lake Leopoldskroner Weiher, has been inextricably linked to the rich artistic and intellectual life of Salzburg’s society throughout its history, and will provide a spectacular stage for the collection which will be unveiled on Tuesday, December 2nd.” – chanel-news.chanel.com

She steps out wearing Alexander Mcqueen coat dress and Jane Taylor hat in welcoming the President of Singapore at Buckingham Palace. Then later at night, she stuns in a baby blue gown by British designer Jenny Packham, at a black tie event at the Natural History Museum.

If morning sickness will always be as glamorous as the Duchess, i might as well start asking for miracles! HAHAHA!

Supermodel Giselle Bundchen sizzles in new Chanel No. 5 Advert!

Giselle Bundchen is the highest-paid supermodel in the world. Ever! Last month, she was named as the new face of the iconic Chanel No. 5 perfume (remember Nicole Kidman in the most expensive advert ever? it cost Chanel $45 million, directed by Baz Luhrmann, and Kidman was paid $15 million for the 3 minute advert!!!!).

The Brazilian bombshell and mother  of two, stars in the iconic perfume campaign’s new short film, called The One That I Want, which is directed by Baz Luhrmann.

The leggy supermodel  will now join the long list of icons that have represented the perfume including Nicole Kidman, Marilyn Monroe, Catherine Deneuve, Audrey Tautou, and Brad Pitt.

Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco showcased a spectacular creations!

Internationally-renowned Filipino designer, Michael Cinco, presented his couture-worthy creations at this year’s Fashion Forward in Dubai.

Fashion Forward (FFWD) is a movement incorporating bi-annual presentations from the region’s established and emerging fashion designers for consumers, buyers and the media. It aims to be the definitive fashion platform for the Middle East.

Though it would take a lifetime to make Dubai a fashion capital, the spectacle of FFWD “highlights strengths, inspires and nurtures industry growth and its wealth of talent, with the ultimate goal of driving forward the entire fashion industry in the region”.

Alexander Wang X H&M

Blame it on Rihanna! She, of the coolest android celebrity, brings shivers to our vines as she hits the street of New York, sporting the yet to be released capsule collections of Alexander Wang (creative director of Balenciaga) for high-street giant H&M.

As reported by style.com, Wang is bringing a sporty vibe to the collections which H&M says are “reflective of the Alexander Wang lifestyle, infused with a sense of humor and irony.”

The collection will be available in over 250 H&M stores worldwide on November 6 and we can’t wait to get our paws on it . (H&M PHILIPPINES located at Mega Fashion Hall, the newest addition to SM Megamall, will open on October 27, 2014)
