Another exciting and fabulous news for the whole LGBT community around the globe. OUT Magazine, our favorite bible (Vogue came on top of the list, of course!) on gay issues, fashion and lifestyle revealed their covers for the 20th anniversary issue. And boy, it is as powerful as the annual Best-Dressed list of Vanity Fair, with less royalty (unless Prince Harry came out as gay, BUT NHO!!!) and more on Ellen Degeneres folks, but equally as gorgeous!
And i quote:
“In our yearly portfolio, we capture the year’s most entertaining, heroic, and compelling people, from all walks of life—including professional athletes, trans pioneers, actors, activists, designers, journalists, emerging musicians, artists, and dancers. For our special 20th anniversary OUT100, “On the Shoulders of Giants,” all of the subjects reference pivotal moments in LGBT history.”
The 2014 covers features Sam Smith, Ellen Page, Samira Wiley and Zachary Quinto.

The Advocate garnered media buzz (and billions of Catholic gay followers) last year for hailing Pope Francis its Person of the Year, a move that created heated arguments among the most astute members of the Catholic Church and LGBT community. This year, however, one can only imagine if the magazine is just trolling us by entering the gates of hell, and Vladimir Putin acting as Hades, but saved by the title “Person of the Year”. Luckily for him, Adolf Hitler is unavailable at the moment!
The headline reads, “Driving the governmental, religious, and popular disdain for gays and lesbians, the Russian president became the single greatest threat to LGBTs in the world in 2014.”
The criteria for choosing the Person of the Year is being that special person who was “most influential on LGBT lives during 2014.” The other nine finalists are well-known celebrities who became icons and had shown social tolerance and respect for the flight of gay men and women everywhere. These includes Neil Patrick Harris, Laverne Cox, Robin Roberts, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, with one congregation–the United Church of Christ–as the stand-in for marriage equality.
Vladimir Putin is just one big troll.
“Imagine a boy who dreams of being a KGB officer
when everyone else wants to be a cosmonaut.”
Sexy priests goes naked for the 2015 Orthodox Church calendar that pays tribute to social tolerance.
It gives emphasis on battle against social enigma that homosexuality is a sin. In this edition, however, some “priests set out, in a humorous way, to remind the world that homosexuality is NOT one of the 7 deadly sins and in fact that Jesus Christ never even referred to homosexuality as a sin!
The 2015 edition is named after the Latin mnemonic S.A.L.I.G.I.A. (Superbia, Avaritia, Luxuria, Invidia, Gula, Ira, Acedia — Pride, Avarice, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Anger, Sloth) with the tagline, “Social Tolerance: Support it! Encourage it! Deal with it!”
The calendar is available in classic and explicit versions.

Tim Cook publicly confirmed that he is gay, his declaration put him as the highest profile CEO to proclaim his sexuality.
In an essay published on Bloomberg’s Businessweek, Mr Cook said: ‘So let me be clear: I’m proud to be gay, and I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me.’
He said: ‘If hearing that the CEO of Apple is gay can help someone struggling to come to terms with who he or she is, or bring comfort to anyone who feels alone, or inspire people to insist on their equality, then it’s worth the trade-off with my own privacy.’
He said Apple had long advocated for human rights and equality.
The chief executive also advocated for LGBT rights (LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER) in his homestate of Alabama.
Speculations has been made about his sexuality when in 2011, gossip website GAWKER reported that Cook is gay before he succeeded Steve Jobs at Apple Inc.

MANILA, Philippines – The suspect in the death of a Filipino transgender in Olongapo City allegedly admitted to authorities that he had done “something wrong” upon initial investigation, a local authorities said on Tuesday, October 14.
“He said, ‘I did something wrong,’”
Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino stated in an interview on DZBB, while fielding questions on the US marine suspected of murdering 26-year-old JeffreyLaude, also known as Jennifer, in a lodging house in the city on October 11.
Paulino stated two used condoms were recovered from the room in Celzone Lodge where Laude was found dead, and that Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) are still confirming if these belonged to Laude and the suspect.
He revealed Laude died from drowning, based on the presence of water found in the lungs of the victim whose face, the authorities added, was swolen.
Olongapo mayor confirmed that Laude did not have gender reassignment surgery, but had breast implants.
According to media report, authorities have identified the suspect as PFC Joseph Scott Pemberton.
“The suspected Marine is assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He is being held onboard USS Peleliu while a joint Naval Criminal Investigative Service and Philippine National Police investigation is conducted,” the embassy said.
It also expressed condolences to the family and friends of Laude.
“The United States will continue to fully cooperate with Philippine law enforcement authorities in every aspect of the investigation.”

Jennifer Lawrence sat down with Vanity Fair and spoke candidly about the nude photos of her that were stolen and published online this past summer. Private images of celebrities including Kate Upton, Rihanna, Cara Delevingne and others were widely distributed on the internet last month in the largest celebrity hacking scandal in history.
Speaking for the first about the photo hacking scandal (courtesy of failed iCloud app from Apple) she never minced a word and showed her disgust over the scandal and called it ” a sex crime”.
The Oscar-winning actress spoke about the legal outcome of the hack. She recently hired top entertainment lawyer Martin Singer, who has written to Google demanding that the company pay for its “blatantly unethical behaviour”. His Los Angeles-based firm Lavely & Singer represents more than a dozen of the women affected.
The October issue of Vanity Fair (with Lawrence on the cover, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier) arrives on newsstands Thursday.

John Galliano is back! After 3 years of disappearing from the confines of fashion weeks (thanks to his anti-semitic outbursts that got him fired from DIOR in 2011) the flamboyant designer has finally landed a job. He just recently named as the new creative director of Maison Martin Margiela, a Paris-based fashion house.
“John Galliano is one of the greatest, undisputed talents of all time — a unique, exceptional couturier for a maison that always challenged and innovated the world of fashion,” Renzo Rosso, president of OTB (Only The Brave), which controls Margiela, told Womens Wear Daily. “I look forward to his return to create that fashion dream that only he can create, and wish him to find his new home here.”
Martin Margiela, founder of the brand, left the fashion house in 2009 and kept a very low profile, rarely giving interviews. He preferred to do so in writing, and he would generally sign Maison Martin Margiela as opposed to his own name.
Galliano is expected to show his first collection for the brand in January for Haute Couture week in Paris.
